Hours of Operation: Day/Time for Member Order Pick-ups: Every Friday night from 5-7PM and Saturday from 12PM-5PM (this is for online orders placed the month prior -- see our calendar for order periods and corresponding pick-up dates)

Driving Directions from locations north or east of San Francisco (use the Bay Bridge): Take I-80 W and merge onto I-80 W (toll road); Merge onto US-101 S; Take the C Chavez St Exit; Keep left at the fork, follow signs for C Chavez St E/Bayshore Blvd; Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Cesar Chavez St E and merge onto Cesar Chavez St; Turn right at Evans Ave; Turn right at Napoleon St; destination will be on the right. Driving Directions from locations south of San Francisco: Take I-280 N toward Civic Center/Bay Bridge; Take the exit on the left onto US-101 N toward Civic Center/Bay Bridge; Take the exit toward Cesar Chavez St/Potrero Ave; Merge onto Bayshore Blvd; Turn right at Jerrold Ave; Turn left at Napoleon St; destination will be on the left. Parking: We have four reserved parking spaces right in front of our doors, guest parking spaces available in a private parking lot for this building complex, and plenty of free, unrestricted street parking (especially on evenings and weekends). MUNI: Muni bus #9 or # 90; off board, corner of Bay Shore Blvd/Jerrold; go Right onto Jerrold, turn Left on Napoleon Street (9 min walk). OR Muni bus #19; off board, Evans at Napoleon; walk Left onto Napoleon Street (12 min walk). Finding Us: When you get to the address, you'll find there are two long commercial buildings with a small, private parking lot in the center. Drive into the parking lot, go all the way to the end – we’re the last unit on the left, next to Excalibur Autoworks. Monday through Friday (8am-5pm), the lot can get congested at times because there are several auto shops in these two buildings -- if the lot is being blocked, simply honk or wait a minute, they will move the cars out of the way for you to pass.
Pets: Unfortunately, our landlord has a strict "No Pets" policy for the property. Please keep animals in the car when you come to pick-up your order. Where To Walk Your Dog: The good news is, there are two great places nearby to walk your dog before/after your volunteer shift. The closest park for dogs is just 2-3 minutes away by car, if your dog needs grass or natural space to "go" on -- otherwise, it's just cement all over the immediate area of Napoleon Street (you can walk your dog anywhere on the sidewalk, of course, if you prefer).
Food For Volunteer Shifts: The SFRAW location is in a industrial area, not in a residential neighborhood, so we do not have cafes or restaurants within walking distance. A food truck with packaged foods and coffee stops at 9AM M-F in our parking lot. We have a percolator, coffee mugs, water, and a small selection of vegan snacks for volunteers. Please bring lunch with you if you are working a full-day shift. We have delivery menus for food delivery and many great restaurants will deliver to our location. We are directly adjacent to three SF neighborhoodsknown for amazing restaurants and cafes: Bernal Heights, Potrero, and the Mission. A few of our favorite local food/coffee spots are listed below: Our Great Neighbor: Many of our members enjoy having their cars worked on while doing their volunteer shift. Our neighbor, Alan Takeshita of Excaliber Autoworks provides high quality, full-service auto, car, and truck repair at extremely low prices. They do honest work and are very fair. Give them a call ahead of time to schedule an appointment, or just let them know what you need done the day you come in to volunteer. They are just right next door to us and have been a tremendous help and support to me/SFRAW. |
